What to expect
What the call covers
- How a session works for batters and bowlers: one phone, one recording, split into balls or deliveries.
- How the coach confirms: the ball sheet for batters; key frames, landing and the front foot for bowlers.
- Progress for batters, recorded bowling for bowlers, and the reports with your academy's logo.
- What one phone can and can't see, so you know what not to expect.
- Whether a pilot suits your academy, and what it would involve.
Who it suits
Owners and head coaches of private cricket academies who run regular net sessions, for batters and bowlers, and want players to see their progress between them.
The pilot
Free 8-week pilot for founding academies. We set your academy up with your logo, and we help you set up and film your first session, on a recent phone you already have. There's a written end date and no obligation. The price after the pilot is agreed with you during it.
Players under 18 are filmed only with a signed parent or guardian consent form.
Questions academies ask first
Can we film our under-18 players?
Yes, with consent. Nobody under 18 is filmed until a parent or guardian has signed the consent form, and the player has agreed too. We give your academy the forms and help you collect them.
Do you cover bowlers?
Yes. One bowler per clip, filmed side-on from the bowling-arm side, with no sound needed. BatSwing splits the spell into deliveries and suggests the key frames; the coach confirms them and tags the length each delivery landed on. It never shows a speed or an angle, and never calls an action legal or not.
Which phone do we need?
One you already have. Prop it side-on at the nets, at a marked distance, on a small tripod or clamp. A second, front-on phone is an optional pilot feature.
What does it cost?
The pilot is free for eight weeks. The price after the pilot is agreed with you during it, rather than us publishing a number we have not tested.
Who owns the footage?
Your academy does. BatSwing processes it on your instructions only. Using footage to improve BatSwing is a separate opt-in, off by default, and share links expire and can be revoked.
